Towns for Tomorrow
Port McNeill gets Green Infrastructure Boost

Storm drainage and fisheries habitat in Port McNeill’s lower Schoolhouse Creek will be improved as a result of $400,000 in funding from the provincial government’s Towns for Tomorrow program.

The project will result in the installation of storm drains and accompanying manholes, headwall and catch basins, constructing walkways and paving of gravel surfaces to reduce sediment loading of the creek.

The funding announcement was made Sept. 18 by Tourism, Sports and the Arts Ministrer and Comox Valley MLA Stan Hagen.
