To keep pace with Oliver's community growth, Towns for Tomorrow funding of $387,200 from the provincial government will assist the town in providing improved wastewater services.

The work includes:

  • Construction of a 2,200 cubic metre equalization basin;

  • Installation of influent and outlet piping and other piping upgrades; and

  • Installation of two floating aeration-mixers.

The project will provide for additional wastewater storage capacity, allowing the town to be more energy efficient and pump wastewater during non-peak hours.

The community will continue to benefit from the wastewater effluent that is recycled and used for irrigation.
