Under the Towns for Tomorrow programs cost sharing formula with municipal governments, the Province provides up to 80 per cent of eligible costs.

The District of Logan Lake will receive a $107,360 grant from the Towns for Tomorrow program to upgrade its drinking water system.

The infrastructure funds will help the community increase the reliability and efficiency of the entire drinking water system serving 2,300 people.

The upgrade includes the installation of a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) computerized management system.

The funding announcement was made Aug. 29 by Kevin Krueger, MLA for Kamloops-North Thompson and Minister of State for Mining, during a visit to the community.

The MLA also announced a $85,000 grant from the B.C. Spirit Squares program to create a public gathering place for community events and celebrations in Maggs Park.
