The Village of Fraser Lake is benefiting from $149,600 in Towns for Tomorrow funding for the construction of the Municipal Hall Emergency Operations Centre to create a better community for residents.
This project will improve the safety of Fraser Lake's residents and ensure the community has the support services in place to prepare for a healthy and successful future.
The project will involve renovating an existing building so it can be used as an Emergency Operations Centre and Village office. This will include structural work, the installation of windows, upgrading electrical and phone systems, additions of bathrooms and a kitchen, storage areas, a generator, and parking improvements. When the time arises, the new space will allow the village to handle emergency situations in a more efficient way.
Prince George-Omineca MLA John Rustad announced the funding July 25, 2008.
