Prince George-Omineca MLA John Rustad (left) and Fort St. James Mayor Rob MacDougall with Towns for Tomorrow cheque for the redevelopment of Murray Ridge Ski Hill into a year-round recreational destination.

Fort St. James will receive $319,240 from the Towns for Tomorrow program that will provide long-term economic benefits through the Murray Ridge Ski Area Redevelopment project.

The work at Murray Ridge will include the development of a potable water supply, upgrades to the lodge, upgrades to the trail, purchasing of a groomer and the construction of an upper mountain gazebo.

The announcement was made Aug. 15 by Prince George-Omineca MLA John Rustad during a visit to the community.
