The provincial government is investing $400,000 in the Enderby Wastewater Treatment System through B.C.'s Towns of Tomorrow program.
The project includes a new 12 meter diameter circular sewage clarifier, a new pumping system and flow controls and metres, as well as sampling equipment.
This project will ensure the effluent discharged into Shuswap Lake is of sufficient quality to protect drinking water and recreational and environmental values while providing capacity for plant growth.
The funding announcement was made July 26 by Shuswap MLA George Abbott during a visit to the community.
