The communiy of Chase is benefiting from $400,000 in Towns for Tomorrow funding for a Universal Metering Project.
The project involves installing approximately 1,225 integrated radio-read water meters for all residential and non-residential properties in the community to help conserve water; implementing a software program for the metering system; and employing an extensive education program in the community that will meet the goals of the province's new Living Water Smart Plan.
Kamloops-North Thompson MLA Kevin Krueger announced the funding June 30, 2008.
